Dr. Ryan Lewinson is a renowned board-certified dermatologist in Canada and the United States, and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Calgary, providing a comprehensive range of surgical, medical, and cosmetic dermatology services, along with expertise in skin health research and innovation as Calgary's only dermatologist with a PhD in biomedical engineering.
With over 100 publications, abstracts, presentations and several technology patents, he has been a prominent force in Canadian health research and innovation with a research focus on treatment personalization that has garnered numerous federal and provincial awards and grants.
Having trained for 17 years with world expert dermatologists, surgeons, scientists and engineers, he is highly experienced in all areas of clinical dermatology and skin science. He has a special interest in skin cancer screening, prevention and surgery, acne therapy and scar management, biologic medicine treatments of eczema and psoriasis, along with full spectrum cosmetic dermatology including injectables, laser and surgery.
He is a strong proponent of preventive medicine, and designing unique, personalized and evidence-based treatment plans for each patient.
